In a flash, we will be dead, whatever age that happens to be. Silly to be proud of one’s youth.

One of the most entertaining things about being 50+ is watching the young guys predictable mistakes

“What you are now, we once were; what we are now, you shall be.”

Most of them won't make it to 50 in such a good bill of health or intellect.

They know not what they do. There aren’t many men around in their lives who purposively worked on improving their own thinking and philosophies over a span of decades. They surely cannot recognize a man who has done so.

There’s nothing wrong with being 50!! It’s a sign of honor you should wear proudly......at least that’s what I keep telling myself

They're still at the age they are trying to impress people rather than finding good folks just to spend time with.

Life is a vapor, for everybody. They just don’t have the wisdom to know that.

I am near 60. My former father-in-law told me as he turned about 42 that the work world looks down on the older worker. Health becomes an issue, and family. Like the Nazis the young/old are seen as burdens. What is lost by this resentment of the very young & old is so costly.
