Not entirely true, she wrote three more books, the Fairy Caravan being one which was a lengthy edition. Once married she set about buying half the Lake District with revenue from book sales and bequeathed it to the nation upon her death.

-Not to mention being very involved with the running of the farms and estates she bought. The Herdwick flock of Cumbria owe a lot to her understanding of farm-management and breeding. Her marriage was a partnership...not a crown.

Agreed, I’m sure there was a great deal of talent in the work houses that was lost to the world, both male and female, due to poverty. It’s quite sad when you think about it isn’t it Michael.
