"Living my best life" is almost always said by people insecure about the life they're living.

Given the conditioning western women are subjected to from birth and their inability to break their programming, I'm really not surprised by the replies.

I won't divulge my age.. but it is over 40. Whenever my kids treated me wrong I have often told them. "you are going to need me, before I am ever going to need you" I now wish I had more money in retirement. Me needing them is closer than I realize. LoL.

Their conditioning is just so overwhelming on this issue that they can't see the truth you are pointing out, but it hurts.
