I'm with Stefan on this. Families need a parent at home to raise their children. Otherwise, ya can count on someone else teaching your kids how to view the world. I don't care who does it. Man or Women. Someone sure as hell does. Just look at people these days.

Medieval villages didn’t have doctors. They had midwives, and herbalists. Both of which were (checks notes) women.

Most of human history life except for very few was brutal and short. Men and woman struggled against all together. In addition to child rearing, menstruation was a real obstacle to freedom. Responsibility brings a purpose and joy. Hedonism is a dead end.

Please read the religious texts of world religions to understand how patriarchal the world was

Most Ancient religions had a large proportion of FEMALE Deities. That's not very Patriarchal of them at all !!

Agreed. Our human history is one of men and women struggling together to make the best of a difficult life. It was the political system which brought unfair inequity. A Queen, or any female member of the gentry led a far more privileged life than any serf. Male or female.

I’m just curious what a doctor was able to do in medieval times regardless of gender. It doesn’t sound like doctors had the knowledge or ability to do much. I hear conflicting information about how long ago c-sections were performed, what kinds of medicines were available, etc.

It's possible that the large increase in breast cancer rates, not long after birth control pills we're available, maybe be due to something in the pill itself. For some, the risk is worth preventing unwanted pregnancies and the hardship of premature motherhood.

Let’s not pretend motherhood/homemaking was ever highly regarded and respected by men and society in general. It often left women vulnerable & financially dependent. But now that STEFAN is a SAHD parenting has been elevated to THE most important contribution. You’re learning, m8.

Through many years of trial and error we found out how to run society most efficiently These people like to pretend this ancient knowledge should just be forgotten because it prevents them from living their irresponsible and insignificant lives
