I admire good parents for the work and risks they take. I do hope though they are all aware they are raising people, not investing into possessions.

To be fair, should such reflexively selfish people be parents at all? It may be that being raised by baby boomers who never considered anyone but themselves does little inculcate decent parenting skills.

Well only if they were good parents. Otherwise we all suffer from those who are bad parents.

If she can truly contribute to civilization in any meaningful, substantive and sterile way, then she contains genetic material that it is more valuable to endow to future generations than to burn through in a single lifetime.

When are we not enjoying "the fruits of everyone else's parenting?" We're enjoying Twitter right now. Created by people w/some one else's parents, no? Enjoyed a movie? TV show? Sporting event? Is the insinuation we all *must* parent to enjoy these things created by others?

Yes. It is being part of a community. All enjoy the fruits of others parenting. And suffer the consequences of others' poor parenting. Parents and non parents alike enjoy the fruits of medical treatment by those who have trained. We cannot do it all and need each other
