The also had a mental health care system that worked back in the 50's and strong communities that would call the men in white coats on anyone showing signs of violent psychosis.

I know people in HS in the 80's who said they had rifles and guns in unlocked trucks in the lot. They would go hunting after school.

Agreed. We took shooting lessons in 7th and 8th grade, and had gun racks at the back windows in our trucks in the school parking lots. Nothing to worry about then.

Why do we even argue with these leftists? They are now open about gun confiscation, and they will stop until they succeed. We've witnessed what the democrat party is capable of in the past 3 years, & still we underestimate them. This will lead to only one outcome.

Truth! It was big in 60’s and 70’s. My high school had a rifle team that won many, many trophies that were proudly displayed in the main hall. It was called “The Pershing Rifles” in honor of the WWI general, John Pershing.

Even in the 80s, some high school guys kept rifles in their trucks. No shootings.

I went to a Christian high school in a rural area, we carried knives on campus and had guns in our cars, nobody cared.

This was in the 2000's. I was very fortunate.
