My impression is that we've gone from a societal expectation of having children to a societal expectation to not have children. The way I see it, there is nothing wrong with either option but that people need to make an informed decision about this important issue.

Are you suggesting that young women are not smart enough to understand and evaluate their own life choices? Since the age of 25 I have been bombarded with ''when are you having children?' from many different sources. I feel bullied TO have children.

This is extremely sad. I’m glad people are speaking out:https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-7295837/amp/Sex-City-writer-admits-regrets-choosing-career-having-children.html …

I appreciate your concern. I genuinely don’t want children. I’ve reflected upon my social conditioning, most of which convinced me I would never be listened to when I spoke up about being assaulted and sexually abused, as a female child, adolescent and adult.

MGTOW and feminism are life's path of least resistance. No marriage. No children. No responsibility. Just self. Hand-in-hand will lead both to ruination all while saying thier collective cry of, this is the empowered independent me.
-
Mgtow was the response to feminism. The vast majority of “potential mates,” I meet on a day to day basis simply aren’t worth it. Would love a wife and kids, but I’m not willing to “take one for the team.” Fully prepared to die alone if I don’t meet my compliment.

My mom always said "There's nothing wrong with being a just Mother". She was the matriarch of our family, the glue that still holds us together, just like her mother before her. I strive everyday to be as kind/thoughtful/tough/fair/knowledged/skeptical as she was.
-
I'll never be the armchair Jeoperdy champion she was though.

They have been lied to, but the best lies have some truth. Women have been taught that they should not be dependent upon a man because they are either unreliable or immoral. There are unreliable and immoral men and women dependent on these have suffered. The truth in the lie.
-
Uh. Women should not be dependent on men because you cannot have a partnership if one of you is always carrying the other. Did that ever occur to either of you? My husband suffered a broken back. If I had been “dependent”, we’d have been in big trouble.

More like my boi Steffy got called out too much for going ham on the white nationalist "Great Replacement" panic and needed a new angle on the whole birth-rates thing. This way lets him sprinkle in some patriarchal mommy-issues hegemony for flavour, too.
