And those who “choose” to smoke and overeat are by definition happy with their choices too right? You still don’t get it. Women have been bullied by propaganda into not having babies. i’m trying to return that choice to them.https://twitter.com/mollygiles2015/status/1157295095223377923 …

You have the emotional intelligence of an worm. Those who *choose* not to have children are by definition happy with that state of affairs, the rest don’t have a choice in the matter for a variety of reasons and it will no doubt be a matter of deep sadness to them.

The primary biological purpose of the female of any species is to procreate. Science!

Those are unhealthy, irresponsible, dangerous, and destructive things to do to your own body. Not wanting to have kids so you can read, write, learn, travel, volunteer, visit family, visit friends, have more free time *gasp*, join an org - Hardly comparable to smoking/overeating

Capitalism is fueled by population growth so I can't see how this is true. Governments give out plenty of incentives to procreate.

My partner is a carrier for Muscular Dystrophy, and has made a conscious choice not to force a child to suffer that. We see children as leaving a part of us in the world. There are other ways to do that, and we do it by being productive creatively through writing and music.

Personally, as a young women who likes kids and may choose to have one, i get more pressure to have kids than not have kids. Also, i don't think there is anything wrong with either, but you can't undo having a kid and that is a big responsibilty that should not be taken lightly.

I see what you are trying to say here Stefan, but your original tweet doesn't really say that, hence people (rightly) getting upset. I am more than my body, and what my body might produce.

The people who claim to be the party of science disregard all the scientific literature that shows women today are experiencing the highest rates of depression ever recorded while they are simultaneously being told that they should disregard their biological desires for children.

Apparently Twitter is a poor platform for discussion on differing opinions. Most go to Ad hominem attacks and vulgarity rather than contemplation.
