I've worked construction, and not commercial or even for another company but along side my husband. I've also given birth and raise our child. He asked me what's harder. I said CONSTRUCTION WORK. Being a stay at home mom is easy in comparison. I love mothering our offspring!

I cant even imagine. Btw i think *good* mothering is one of the most important jobs for the advancement of a civilization. It should be praised and lauded, but in terms of sheer difficulty, physically and mentally speaking - it doesnt even crack the top 50.

I stayed at home with my young children, first because that's the way my Navy husband & I planned it. Then, he passed & I was the Mom. I hate it when people denigrate the job of a stay-at-home Mom. Yes, it is a tough job, but it was MY JOB!

I dislike it when women whine about being a SAM. I’m one of these and I’ve worked other jobs, and this is harder. Btw, SAM is a luxury. There was a time when women had to work out in the fields with their husbands while granny took care of the children!
