I wish every family could have one parent stay home. We missed something when both parents had to goto work, in my view.

This criticism of stayvat home moms comes from women who are secretly afraid they made the wrong choice.

Where I live, it is a measure of status when a parent doesn’t have to work: it means the (usually) dad has lots of dough!

It’s 50K/year to send a kid to my school. One family just had their 5th kid: now there’s a status symbol! The other parents have to stop at 2. Or move to Westchester...Admittedly, these guys can afford nannies & maids. That helps.

In any case it’s good to know we are helping the 1% to be stay-at-home parents! The 98% can too: they just have to choose between that & a house or insurance...

You shouldn’t have,...since mothers have been at work in large numbers our society has plummeted. The nurturing of children ,at least to the age of five is needed and natural.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🆘

My mum stayed home with us at a time when it was the done thing and I’m grateful she did 😉 You do whatever you think is best for you and yours . Our dad worked hard to provide and that’s what life is all about 👍

Seriously? That’s bizarre, 90% of the women in my family stayed at home to raise their children & I don’t think anyone ever said negative things. They were probably just jealous because they weren’t able to raise their children. It is a bit of a cultural thing too.
