Single mom here. We have lived in 10 places, took my son (then 13) to Vegas 2 see MLG in it’s early days, went to PAX 4x & one of our best bonding moments was the 6.5 hr uninterrupted 82 song for Bladder of Steel achievement in RockBand2. Maybe you don’t see kids as people.

I hope you guys had a blast at those events. I've been to PAX more times than I can count. Have had the pleasure of meeting fans and friends every single time I'm glad you and your son had good bonding time.

And fair enough, if that what floats his boat. Like I said, leave him at it. But it can’t be reasonably compared to raising the next generation. To think so is assume that all endeavors are equivalent in societal value. Which they are clearly not.
