After age 40, 34% of pregnancies will end in miscarriage. For women 45 and older, this number rises to 53%. An older woman is also more likely to possess eggs with chromosomal defects that can cause genetic diseases such as Down Syndrome.

Down Syndrome “at 30 the chance becomes a one in 1,000. Then at 35, the chance of having a baby with Down syndrome jumps to 1 in 400, and then to one in 100 by 40. By the time the woman is 49, the chance of having a baby with and extra 21st chromosome is one in 10.”

Sounds like a great argument for restraint, applied intellect and responsibility. PRO TIP: The "easy" way out of a situation isn't always the correct way. "Some, are ruled by their wit, others by their emotion".

Facts are hard. In addition to that, every 10 years of age is a big decrease in your stamina. At 57 I know this. Older parents also have the joy of trying to keep up with a teenager and their stunts, and college, instead of retirement.

Our daughter and granddaughter lived with us until last year. I love them both with my whole heart, but it really reinforced how poorly equipped people my age are for keeping up with a 6 year old.

Why pay attention to science and proven fact when you can have your run of the town then have a child born with issues that you can just make excuses for and call out everyone on their discrimination when they have the NERVE to say anything to you?

Female fertility peaks around age 24. And then just declines. The 20’s are the best age to have babies, in my opinion. You have more energy for daily activities and when your kids are 20 you will probably be there for help them.

What was the demographic tested? South Asians have healthy children later in life. They don’t menstruate as early and hence menopause is later. Less hormones, less processed food and vegetarianism makes a difference. 💁🏻‍♀️

Remember when feminists were pushing this on older men? The opposite is true and older men with younger wives have healthier children.

Let me give you a healthcare related response & it applies more for cdns. The cost to the healthcare system when one has a first time pregnancy in their 40's often leads to hospital admissions as those babes can spend time in the neonatal intensive care units. Increases IVF too$$

Due to increased risk of multiple births w/ IVF the costs to healthcare increases as usually one of the multiples often do poorly & again spend time in the NICU. Older moms often need IVF to get pregnant. Not to mention other possible health risks in Long term.
