People should be able to save/invest over their working life to provide for their own retirement.

Women should establish a career in their 20s instead of getting bogged-down with kids. And I'm a conservative

Everyone eligible to take CPP + OAS usually do, including men. Example my dad doesn't need it, but takes it. Also you need to work + contribute to CPP to collect. Thankfully there is child-rearing provisions that women can apply for when they aren't working while raising kids.

It's more nuanced than that. A person who doesn't have kids also doesn't require maternity care or public schooling for their kids. Also, producing children (mass consumers) is a major factor in climate change, which will cost the gov't dearly. Have kids or don't. Both are valid!
