But you also had work experience between high school and that time, correct? Not to mention the obvious but, most employers don’t see homemaking as a skill. How about this, I’ll tell my sister to forget college and have babies. 1/2

As did I. Went to uni part time, gave up decorating and started working with offenders. I now run a successful hostel for ex offenders and will retire comfortably in about 5 years. It can be done.

I work with tons of women who have families and kids. They have to work for a variety of reasons and they manage. Unless you have skills/education which takes you out of “dead end jobs” territory, be advised, they are all dead end jobs. Take off the rose colored glasses.

Yeah, bad excuse, Tess. As soon as my wife was able, she and I both started new businesses of our own in our mid 30s once our parenting schedule no longer prevented it. If you have a limit in that regard, it's self imposed. Think bigger.

38 is assuming that a woman started at her 20th year on Earth and only had 1 child. Realistically if a woman only focuses on giving birth during her 20’s the last child could be born when she is 29/30. That means that realistically women shouldn’t be working until they’re 48/49.

If you can't take time away to work on a career until your child is 18, you messed up somewhere along the line and ended up with a teenager that can't be trusted to be home alone or to babysit their younger sibling.

It's not actually hard to get a job/career if you prepare yourself with the educational qualifications first.
