2. Wanted to say how proud you should be of your achievements, given your start in life. My mother had a similar start which she overcame magnificently, but it leaves deep scars! So be proud, you are making a difference to many lifes and proving "Nothing is written!"

1. My oldest female friend, who was very attractive, has spent 16 years supporting a man who she caught more than once sleeping with female lodgers in her home and who was recently questioned by police for child abuse. Yet he still lives in her home, with their 15 year daughter!

Watched mom destroy the man who gave a stable life, men coming through the house while he was at work. As a kid watched my whore mom & decided to do everything opposite. Now that man has his own good wife & family, I have a stable home w/father of my kids. Mom? Sad and alone @ 56

Case to case basis. -
We split when our daughter was little, over 10 years ago, but we've always worked together when it comes to her. Sadly it seems a very rare scenario. Stability and consistency is the key, whatever the parenting situation. Glad it was good for you
