I'd say having kids "just because" and then not having the life skills or personality traits to raise them correctly and decently is worse. People act like bad mothers don't exist.

This. My mom was literally forced to be a stay at home mom. Grew up in the 1970s. Horrible depression and isolation. I never really wanted kids even as a child myself. If she'd have been happy/ normal, who knows. But bad mom... No thnx

I find that most people who don't want to have kids, or do have kids and are horrible parents and probably shouldn't have had any share one personal trait: self centered. It's actually better they recognized they don't want any.

She doesn’t want to have to change a diaper in the car between leaving Target and going to the nail salon. Duh. Normally I do not really rib peoples decisions on having/not having children. But I notice ALOT of people without kids, non-stop complaining about people with kids.

There's no overpopulation. Distribution is the biggest limiter in this. Once distribution is no longer an a problem you'll the head towards overpopulation

For me, personally, I'd be a terrible mother, as was my mother before me (and not for lack of trying). My personality isn't conducive to motherhood and I'm glad I realised it before I had children, most don't.

I hear you. When I was young, I ead too much like my mom. Now I am too old, but I'm okay being me. Kids do not equate happiness. In fact nothing does. Life is about choices and in the modern era that includes kids

I'm happy just as is, I have no void to fill with kids or cats or career etc. I find my happiness in the small things in life, and in God. I'm very happy. But more importantly I've ended the cycle.
