People often mischaracterize the act of disseminating the truth. Look at this woman: attacking a man for providing proper guidance on how to orient one's self- with a smear. Stefan offers the proper "framing"- not absolute course of action, they cannot differentiate, not at all.

I believe it is rather darker than that with what are known as “motivated tacticians.” Their reasoning abilities are completely intact and functional at all times. In fact, they are perfectly capable of representing reality to themselves in their own internal dialogue... but...

They are not motivated to utilize this accurate representation of reality in service of the truth. Such knowledge is instead used to craft strategies which can effectively undermine the truth in order to uplift whatever belief or goal is more highly valued.

Yes. Quite accurate. That belief or goal is usually some variety of self-interest, stemming from a belief in existence being a zero sum game and a zero sum game only.

A set of beliefs that are held sacred ultimately frame the perceptions of the indoctrinated person. Such perceptions activate emotional reasoning centers that direct behavior in an intuitive manner through instinct (like resentment or anger).
