Growing up in a community with a lot of Indians I will say they are not racist. Meaning they harbor no hatred. But they have extreme in-group preference and generally look down on other minorities. That is just my experience.

What I mean to say is it’s possible to not hate but have preference to your own kind. I don’t think that’s an issue of racism. You can be critical of those who don’t share same cultural values without being racist.
