Growing up in a community with a lot of Indians I will say they are not racist. Meaning they harbor no hatred. But they have extreme in-group preference and generally look down on other minorities. That is just my experience.

Your tweet makes no sense

What I mean to say is it’s possible to not hate but have preference to your own kind. I don’t think that’s an issue of racism. You can be critical of those who don’t share same cultural values without being racist.

Maybe it’s not hate. Maybe it’s cognitive dissonance resulting from being told from birth that you’re at the pinnacle of humankind- then looking around and seeing YT with the wealth, accomplishments, and overall better society.

It's wisdom that might see us into a Renaissance of appreciation for the natural world but intelligence that tells us we can define that as we go.

Is IQ really that reliable at predicting intelligence?https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/9755929/IQ-tests-do-not-reflect-intelligence.html …
-
This article simply makes the point that better testing gives a more complete picture of IQ. Who would argue with that? However, current tests seem to correspond, generally, with income.
-
That’s not the point at all... the point is that a single test can’t accurately predict intelligence, including IQ tests. If IQ relates statistically to income, the conclusion may be other than intelligence predicts income.
-
It seems to be “accurately” predicting something. Accurate is a spectrum. I don’t think anyone would say a 30 min test could be 100% accurate. Is it accurate enough to predict certain things? Seems so. If we made better tests would there be more accuracy? Yes. Why discount it?
-
If it’s not accurately predicting intelligence than it shouldn’t be considered a good tool for precisely that. If it relates statistically to other things, it may not be bc of intelligence but for other aspects specific to the test.
-
I don’t think you have much of a point. We use differs metric to judge all sorts of things, happiness, sanity, intelligence. Shall we through it all out, because it’s not perfect. I think not. The more ways we can understand ourselves is worthwhile.
