Stefan, it’s been an honor and a privilege to watch your spiritual maturity unfold over these last few years. It takes courage to cross that divide, even more so in such a public manner. Bravo!

Actually, it was Buddha that gave modern man an ethics guide. Christ just translated his teachings to accommodate the ignorant West.
-
I love Buddha and Christ. They have different perspectives. Christ didn’t just translate teachings. He was the living embodiment of Logos. He was powerful far beyond the Buddha. Both knew truth, truth is One therefore the message is similar.

Christianity and every other religion creates division among others.

Medieval Europe was politically divided but united in Christianity, and was one of the most peaceful eras of its history.

The 10 Commandments predate that as the first injunctions against predatory behaviour, written by Hebrew scholars. FYI the word "jew" doesn't appear even once in the Old Testament.

@StefanMolyneux what affect did Sikhism have on India? Also, do Christianity, Sikhism and Buddhism share a common ethic's standard which allows an easier integration process, compared to other religions? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You should take a look at the work of
@MarkBrahmin on the subject. You will see that a dying & rising god is not unique to Christianity but is semitic in origin. Universalized ethics are a type of bait & switch -
It's way 2 simple to say Christianity merely, or even primarily, represented a "universalization." There's much more to that fascinating & alien Religion. But even if it were only that, why would we want to adhere to "universalized ethics" when we know other groups will/can not?

Yeah, the Old Testament is pretty bizarre, about a retributive and arbitrary God, and the like. The New Testament is a completely different animal.
