There hasn't been a single noteworthy famine in India since 1943. NOT ONE despite no noticeable increase in food production. Not to mention Bengal has been a pathetic Communist bastion of India forever. Yet, no famine of the catastrophic kinds faced during the Raj.

My Dude, the British forced Indian agriculture to switch from food to indigo. This is a DIRECT British influence that helped increase the risk of Indian famine. I mean, come on. Even if there wasn't theft there was definitely negligence.
