I've read it. A terrible book for all the kudos it receives. It contradicts itself more than once and even manages to do so on two adjacent pages. Should really have been called 'agriculture' though, as that is what it is really about.

How can someone dismissed IQ when the correlation factor exist? If people dismiss that they have to explain how IQ is correlated to 0.8 in SAT scores,0.6 in income, etc. Just like how if people dismissed Newton law, they have to explain how an Airplane works based on the equation

Yeah. But on more pressing issues... Something has to be done about Big Tech before it's too late for democracy!

@Iyervval And you say his tweets make sense. Absolutely not. Here he is ranting against one of the best known scientists and anthropologists using only ad hominem. (most of Harari's work is based on Jared Diamond's research, btw. So u shld read him in case u havent)Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Revisionist history. Watched the whole thing. Full of holes, misrepresented events and out of context dialogue. Want my time back.

Last name of the author of guns, germs and steel is Diamond. NEVER trust an acedemic who has a precious metal/mineral in their last name. You see them start to talk or teach, they're probably about to do something subversive.

Diamond dismisses genetic Basis for IQ+biological diffs between races. While at the same time sharing his theory for why papua neuguineans are smarter and emotionally superior to europeans, which involves mechanisms of natural selection. Book really is a Diss-track against europs

The intro of the book is literally him saying that Papua New Guineans are the smartest people on Earth - my suspicion is that the whole book was meant tongue in cheek "Look at what nonsense they'll buy if I give any kind of excuse to dismiss what they don't want to believe"

Uncanny. Was thinking today about this book which I started to read years ago and didn't finish. I nearly fell for it. I should go back to it for 'interest' except there is too much truth to be following up.

Jared Diamond has admitted race/IQ might exist, except it may show the Papua New Guineans have more intelligence
