Sigh. So why didn’t Genghis Khan use all of his loot to jumpstart the industrial revolution? Or any of the other thousands of warlords throughout human history?https://twitter.com/swapnilad/status/1154271112609447937 …

Xanadu was a technical, scientific and cultural powerhouse where the Khans brought all of the best people from the Empire to study and exchange ideas.

I do not believe that Kahn knew anything about pollution. He knew about blood letting, and not much else.

Let's not forget that back in those days it was all about rape and pillage and taking slaves. No thought was ever given to anything else.

Because Ginghis Khan started international trade through Pax Mongolia which lead to the Reformation and subsequent global exploration in search of routes to China and India in the European lust for eastern riches.

I will say that culture is the ultimate technology and the Khan dynasty lasted for quite awhile having said that...warlords never moved past conquest as a wealth creation vehicle. It was western law, capitalism, banking and technological advancements that moved the chains.

God Bless you, man. You take these slings and arrows honorably. You will wander with the pack of scholars that roam the mindless world and absorb the dissident book-burners. Really happy to have followed your work.
