I at the age of 53, had my first child 5 months ago. Having spent the vast majority of my life single and childless, I can feel my brain being rewired every single day. I feel whole. My life and my outlook has vastly improved. My only regret is that I didn't do it earlier.

A first-time mother or father may still need all the guidance they can get from their first support group - their own mom and dad.

Babies bring focus/a chance 2 make better what may have once been hopeless/past parenting mistakes we all cope with/now there is a way to redeem the clarity refocus/love learn hope dream its not a matter of hocus pocus/its filling up the holes where people poked us and awoke us

When white women adopt black children so they can say they have black children. Or if they choose impregnation by African... If they make the black children they are raising do chores that is a form of slavery and must be abolished. No more exploitative adoptions. End it now!

While this is beautiful & I want to believe it, I just struggle to. I find it hard to want children bc of my own mother, I’m not convinced. My mom had a shitty mom, & so she became a shitty mom. I fight to not be her,but I constantly see my mom in myself. I doubt my mom wanted to

become her own mother, but she did. There’s something more than just willing yourself to be good. Sometimes it’s innate flaws. My gma was mentally ill,& so was my mom. I worry the same will happen to me. Maybe seeking to heal myself at the expense of another is inherently selfish.

I really wish I could believe your message.
