In the middle of a terrible war, Churchill tried his best to get food to the region, which was ravaged by drought, but corrupt local Indian officials stole most of the aid. Or you can just keep blaming long-dead white people for everything.https://twitter.com/pierrefitter/status/1154064051980386304 …

3 million starved-to-death Bengalis in a single year might contest the idea of British Colonisation bring "relatively light". But you also probably believe Churchill was the best guy ever.

Did you really quote a Churchill hagiography to prove your point? Let him be, @pierrefitter he doesn't know crap.

Whites of European descent are often the most charitable. There's plenty of documentation, throughout history, to prove this.

There was a concerted effort to alleviate the conditions in India, there was also conditions of food hoarding within India to overcome. All while fighting a war. Judging historical figures with today's lens of knowledge is hideously unfair.

So you’re saying it’s hard to feed people in the middle of a war when you’re getting blockaded? Does this apply to any other countries during WWII? 🤔
