The notion that elites want “undifferentiated consumers to work and spend” is wrong. These masses of people have their hands out to get benefits others work for. It doesn’t add anything to European society to have them there. Most of them are not working & contributing anything.

THAT I understand. And I understand how traditional wars can be monetized. What I don’t understand is how domestic/civil war can be monetized to the same scale. And I don’t understand how this type of war bypasses the trappings of nuclear threat... which was Stefan’s point.
