Wow, tiny. I've carried some big snapping turtles off roads to safety over the last few years. There's a couple of roads near my house where they cross and all too often get hit by cars. It pisses me off because there are huge Turtle Crossing signs but people still hit them.

I pick them up by the shell at the sides with their head facing away. They can't bite you like that, but they still try and it can be a little unnerving. Then I kinda waddle to where they were going...I only lift them a few inches just in case I drop them.
