Assuming no permanent damage, verbal abuse is worse, because it re-shapes personality in a way that physical abuse does not.https://twitter.com/JLPtalk/status/1150757239767961600 …

Suffered from verbal for almost 10 years. Not fun stuff. Almost ruined my life.

I'll disagree. Physical abuse absolutely reshapes personality through altering behavior via operant conditioning and also causing mental trauma even without permanent physical damage.

Physical abuse is also psychological abuse (has strong psychological component). The reverse is not true.

The fact that Jesse has to ask. Is worrisome. What's worse, cowering because you know your about to be hit. Or cowering because they raised their hand, in a way that may or may not result in being hit. That's how we train our dogs. No human should be ever put through that.

There is a degree of everything. This shouldn't be a contest on who gets hurt the most. Still physical damage is easier fixed than psycological damage for the most part.

In Iceland the Vikings considered "words" as damaging (or more so) as actual physical assualt. Leftist words have destroyed America.

Is there proof of this? As a creature built to survive i can only think that physical harm would have more profound effects on a person than verbal.
