I heard Billy Joel’s song “Only the Good Die Young” on the radio today, and flinched at the lyrics: “Come out Virginia, don’t let me wait You Catholic girls start much too late” He’s talking about Christian girls in their mid-teens. It’s not that he’s Jewish, he’s just gross.

I always took it to be a song about a teenage boy trying to encourage a teenage girl give him the time of day - basically one of the boys from "Grease". If there's a specific reference in the song about how it's a much older man, I certainly didn't catch it.
