I sometimes feel like my paycheck, direct deposited, and payed out electronically to my mortgage lender, local utilities, grocery stores, etc... digitally is kind of based in thin air as well.

Gold is money.

It isn’t based on debt. It’s based on the ability of the fed government to tax it’s citizens to repay that debt. Real money is asset backed, crypto isn’t.

Except Federal Reserve Notes are backed by future forced labor at the point of a gun.

I'm a big fan of Bitcoin, but Trump is 100% correct. The volitility and inability to keep the coins you own secure make it for professionals only. If Facebook was more trustworthy I'd love it, but not under present management.

He's not wrong on lack of regulation, noting backing it up in terms of a basis for its value, much more volatile than other currency and can be used to facilitate criminal behaviour. Just a few reasons most people won't hold it as a currency.
