Is there any moral or ethical obligation to pay attention to moral or ethical theory? There's either 1) no such obligation to think about it, therefore it's irrelevant, or 2) an already operative moral or ethical theory is assumed in valuing the theorizing in the first place.

To be clear, I was not saying that you are demonstrating moral certitude, I was agreeing with your assessment of leftism 101 and merely stating that when people are convinced of the moral superiority of their positions (anti-fascists for example) ends always justify means.
