Strange but apparently true. It’s like there’s only a couple dozen significant people in the pol world and they just spiral around each other. James Comey daughter prosecuting, Barr’s dad hired him, Mueller gave him immunity. Epstein was only 20 when he took the teaching job btw.

If this outs a bunch of politicians (and the odds are in favor of that) it benefits the administration to have no tie to the case. Makes it harder to claim that the prosecution is political.

My guess is that this was a hot potato he wanted to stay away from. Anything that could out rich powerful men who face having their lives ruined would tend to make one a target. Hell, even Bill Clinton is strongly suspect.
