In 19th century America, a child could go into a drugstore and buy heroin and cocaine. Supply is not the issue, it is demand.https://twitter.com/Woke_Chicken/status/1147265703843684352 …

Maybe, just hear me out on this one, giving people free access to mind and body destroying chemicals that are super addictive is not such a good idea.

Most 19th century children were too busy doing chores to enable their families to survive in an agrarian economy to lay around getting wasted. More productive purpose for kids and less free time and "self-actualization."

Is a nineteenth-century, hard liquor was the number one mind and body destroying chemical choice not cocaine or heroin. You have the same effect only a came out of a whiskey bottle instead of a hypodermic needle.

addiction is not what is claimed, in the 19th century a certain level of community still existed, and that made drug use uncommon, remove community and drug use shoots up.

Maybe teenagers are stupid and want to do drugs because the SJW media and the new age hippie books make them think drugs are needed to be "Popular" or to escape the illusion of material existence and get magical spirit powers. (that will make them cool and popular)

Fun fact: addiction rates for all drugs has hovered around 1% of users for as long as such things have been tracked. Has never been over 2%. Supply/demand are the cornerstones of capitalism. Thank the gods for capitalism.

Yes, but intelligence agencies can pump up demand through propaganda. They obtain black budget profits. Look at Qing dynasty in the Opium Wars. When the "public idols" are addicts then the people soon imitate.
