Millions of unfilled trades jobs as well due in large part to welfare. Solution is not influx of illegals. Rather incentivize a path to employment and legal immigration so these jobs get filled.

It is called balance. People will look for the best work/pay ratio, enterpreneurs wage/profit ratio. Society lives on this balance.

Agreed on the first part, the second part is wrong or misleading. The general premise is to depress wages. The importing of foreigners to the west isn't limited to welfare, there's H1/2 people all over who are there to depress the wages of middle/high income salaried workers.

There is a crisis with this right now. I have spoken with both businesses and employees who say that their organizations are critically understaffed and they can’t find any employable people to work. Its not a wages issue because they are paying overtime wages to fill the gaps

Add to that--welfare recipients know what "low skilled" part time jobs they can take that pays on top of welfare so they have extra money for pot / drugs.

With the cost of living in Denver, isn't a $17/hr job the same as an $8-$9/hr job in most of America? He isn't comparing apples-to-apples here.

Easier to just have a baby and get everything for free.
