SEEKING ASYLUM IS NOT A CRIME . . . DID YOU GO TO UNIVERSITY?
When my mother moved me to Canada, we had to have extensive medical tests, prove education and income, have a relative put us up, speak English, you name it. We followed the laws - what country would POSSIBLY want people who show their contempt for the law by breaking in?

It's in the interest of a prosperous population to keep bad people -- especially a great number of them -- from invading its territory. The problem is that, currently, the only way to keep those people out is by having the government do it, and we all know where that will end up.

My parents had to make two attempts at it back in the late 50s. I'm very greatful the second time they came they where accepted and stayed!

A society, and by extension it’s government, has the right to decide who it’s going to allow to join it. That can include any kind of test the society wishes to place upon the applicant. This is how membership in any group of people works.
