Don’t let anyone obfuscate the Google censorship scandal by blathering on about “artificial intelligence.” There is no such thing. Computers do EXACTLY what you tell them. The “ghost in the machine” is just a convenient scapegoat; a kid saying, “My invisible friend did it!”

That's what I say to people who worry about artificial intelligence: computers are dumb. Tools like AI neural networks are just ways to solve problems that procedural algorithms are bad at. Who decides what problems? We, of course.

💥This is so true! 💥 How do I know? It's my job to know. Their AI (fake intelligence) is based upon pure ontology. They have no concept of epistemological aspects. They can teach a robot drone to tie its shoes, but cannot teach it the reason for doing so. 🤦🏻‍♂️🐑🤕😷🤫🤔👹

I am a retired programmer. You are correct. Computers do EXACTLY what you tell them to do. I think though that advertisers WANT them to curtail language. The question is, are the advertisers happy when conservatives get silenced?

It's all about patten recognition, which is a very real thing, and unfortunately can be spun by automation as much as it is by people, media spin personnel in this case, can't call them journalists or reporters, that's not an accurate label for what they do

Clearly, the 'AI' term made an appearance in the 80's, a prof at some conference contrasted Artificial Intelligence with Intelligence as comparing Artificial Flowers with Flowers, they look the same at a distance to an unskilled observer, close up however reveals little similar

Eh. Have you much experience with non-linear computing Stef? There is not much exactness when non-linearity is involved. With that asked....ya, Google is injecting bias through reinforcement.

Yes. In the case of google, the loss function is partially generated by humans working at google who have a political bias. In the future, not all loss functions will be transparent though. A loss function itself can be another NN whose loss function is also a NN.

That is a unique solution. I think congress is too dumb and old to come up with it. Hahaha. Some way/Some how, that solution will be implemented. Maybe not through Google though. Also, shameless plug, Check out the lucene search I made for Dr Peterson: http://search.jordanbpeterson.com

This is true... Some may say programs veer from exact commands, but it's more semantics than anything. The code either sets parameters or it doesn't. If it does, then it's restricted within those parameters. If it doesn't, then it will get into loops and get lost and irrelevant.

It's a little different. You're right that it's awful. Take a function f(x)=x f(x) is expensive to calc for every x. So you calculate it for every 10th x. In between you guess (interpolate). You could use a line. Or machine learning. That's one class of ML st least
