The ‘richest country in the world’ has an annual budget deficit of $833 Billion. And a National Debt in excess of $20 Trillion. Then there’s the unfunded liabilities that Stef mentioned. In short, bankrupt. More freebies are definitely the way to go...

Stefan, in his defense, corporations shipped jobs abroad 50 yrs ago. Free trade agreements and outsourcing and lack of corporate taxation up to 2 trillion dollars a year. Because they don't pay into medicare, ssan etc. or unfunded liabilities. The high corp tax rate is a myth.
