If those 18 members of the wealthiest families in America want to be taxed more, I hear that the govt. takes donations. Just send what money they want to the treasury.

They want to be taxed more because they know they’ll be eaten alive soon enough. This is about their survival!

Would be curious who these "members" are; did they actually create the wealth themselves or inherit/marry into it?

also everyone knows taxes change behavior, people who are very of money will simply avoid the activities being taxed, while many people who are in between the dependent class and the super rich will suffer the most.

Nothing is stopping them from voluntarily overpaying. If they are sincere, they should amend prior years returns and re-file eliminating their lawful deductions.

It isn’t even really that. These wealthy people are allowed to pay more if they want. Notice they never say how much more and that they want income rates higher which isnt going to affect wealth They basically want to hit high earners who aren’t them

I've never been hired by a poor person.
