I have real sympathy for people who have been damaged by marijuana. My problem is when drug addiction is somehow re-framed as “cool” and “enlightened.” Just be honest, like smokers - it’s really bad for you, but it’s hard to quit.

But I think it can be seen the same way as other Medicine. The effect it has when dealing with a medical issue is different than when it’s used recreationally. We really need to study how it can help and hopefully also be honest about warning of the negatives like any medicine.

The important question: When is it recreational abuse and when is it therapeutic? Where is the line drawn between the two?

Telling adults that they can't use cannabis recreationally has worked how well so far? We've only been telling adults that for 100 years, yet adults are still using it anyways. You can not legislate morality, and prohibition has NEVER worked. "Don't eat from THAT tree"...

I’ve smoked weed periodically dozens and dozens of times over my life. It is hard to quit, it does temporarily give you some brain damage. But the first few times can be full of revelations and creative fertility. You have to be honest on both sides.
