Do you not drink alcohol? Coffee? I think it is a nuanced topic. You can use it or abuse it. Go into it for good reasons or bad. I think the recent developements on psychedelics for trauma patients both civilian and vets is really exciting and I hope to see more of it.

This is truer than most people who are “not addicted” to cannabis would like to believe.

Because people not on drugs are not scared of anything.

For me, the main issue of drug use (besides the affect on the one's IQ) is that it makes people weak. It lowers their ability to deal with stress on their own and weakens their will power, making them less capable of defering gratification.

I agree @StefanMolyneux Drugs and alcohol are used when you are uncomfortable at the least. They are a crutch for life and living.

It's most often much more simple than that. Drugs are pleasure on credit. In the end, you pay with interest. It's a price most users are willing to pay.
