Religions developed and evolved over thousands of years to give people meaning, community, practices in self discipline, and education. Good luck replacing them with government programs or pograms

I’m not religious and I agree with this. Religion is far more than a belief system, it’s social cohesion, support and a respite from the world. Without that in some form humans aren’t very good.

Religion is the manifestation of a group survival instinct. It will always manifest in one way or another. Perhaps the solution is a new religion, incorporating all the best aspects of what we've learned?

The problem is that science relies on researchers who are devoted to the objective truth. In the last century, the religion of Marxism has slowly crept its way into many scientists' heads, resulting in inaccurate research studies, which have had catastrophic results on the world.
