I think that the only difference between Think Is Right and Is Right is who is doing the thinking. You may have a belief, based on serious thought and facts, but it doesn't mean it Is Right.Everyone does what they think is right because you can't operate outside of your own head.

Well said. I think too many people see themselves having moral purity when in fact they are just doing what's expected of them from society

You're so right. Godwin comes crashing in to these instances so fast, it makes me head spin. History is replete with genocidal maniacs that were doing what they thought was right.

If I believe x is immoral, and I do x, then my doing x is an immoral choice even if x is in fact moral. Intentionally violating one's conscience is wrong, even when one's conscience is mistaken.

If thinking here means 'according to one's conscience' then that IS what we must do. Crucially, however, who's to say what the 'IS' is? It depends on the question and on the ability of the questioner to make a satisfactory judgement. But yes, philosophy over feelings every time

People need to think before they do and most of the time not doing is the best policy.
