Things you value. I think you get a lot more stress if you pick someone opposite. If you're a saver, their a spender, things could get tense. Cover the important things, wanting children, general goal, money habits. Need to be clinical not emotional to a certain extent.

It really depends on how old you are, whether you already have or plan kids, etc. My wife and I met in our late forties, both of us divorced, and dated for several years. Now we are married and happier than we have ever been. In our case it was important to take the time.
