I wish I had learned this lesson recently... I was prince charming lovestruck until the bitter end. No matter what insults, shame, or even violence was done to me.

I’m so sorry

Thank you so much. Don't worry. We learn through hardship. I feel fully prepared for life and relationships now that I've gone through the fire and fury and made it.

Awful, but, I know this, sometimes men set us up 4 this shit. Everything’s fine & when they have an audience they know just what 2 do 2 bring out the “crazy” in you so everybody can see while they sit quietly “taking it on the chin”. But, yeah, we don’t know what happened here.
-
I agree this is absolutely abuse & have seen both men and women being manipulated into reacting like this instead of responding appropriately. This was a private conversation and we should not judge either of them. Women are not always victims.
-
I disagree. I have never had a temper tantrum in public or in private. I’ve fussed&raised by voice@home, but that’s it&I certainly would not do it in public. I don’t believe having a tantrum resolves anything. I think some(maybe even most) women r just more capable 2 freak out
-
I agree! I don’t have public outbursts either. I doubt this girl expected 2 have her conversation recorded & shared, however. It looks like they moved away from others 2 “chat”. In that spirit, I was trying 2 give this girl grace. Regardless, the behavior is not ok.
-
I understood u wanted2give her a chance because we literally know nothing about this situation nor the relationship. I agree. I was responding2the “some [men] set us up... they know how2push our “crazy” button.” I’m not sure how many women actually have crazy buttons.

Abuse is abuse, no matter which party in a relationship. Don't keep toxic people in your life.

Stefan, that last line you said lit a light bulb and maybe I'm way out there, but .. could SOME forms of mental illness have been categorized as "demonic possession" centuries ago (and maybe not that far back in time) ?

It may mean they still care. When they stop finding faults thats when you know it's over. Really depends on the relationship. A fiery couple may have equally anger and passion.
