Amazing how quickly libertarians throw out their entire ideology and embrace regulation when the actions of a corporation personally affect them
-
And that's why I'm not a hard core libertarian. I'm not willing to march into dystopia because MUH IDEOLOGY.

Why are we bothering with the argument that "private companies can do what they want", when the real argument is that "companies like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter are misleading its users in what they can do"? It's not about the right to refuse service.

I actually would, and do, often. You should be allowed to discriminate for any reason on your private property. You are such a big government shill now.

Some of these things are public goods. So the tired “muh private company” counter arguments are weak; platforms can’t simultaneously be publishers according to law.

An argument bolstering your position

Correct. Remember, Barry Goldwater did and there’s merit to his argument just as there are opponents to it. But those in Conservative Inc today would have never made it. They’re hypocrites and illegitimate heirs.

If, in the 1760's, the only way to reach one's whole village or town was via the Town Square (and it was), what would we say to thugs violently preventing people from reaching the Square?
