I disagree. Most women don't seek a relationship with men for monetary gains and provision. They seek it for companionship. I think obesity is rising because we have less and less need to get up and exercise and food can be delivered right to your door at anytime anywhere.

Obesity I believe is a symptom of extreme freedoms. The reason it is sky rocketing is because it is taboo to make some one feel shame for their weight and that is one of the main reasons people stay trim to begin with. Shame has good applications.

The WHO echo this. Most of the western world has an obesity crisis which is fuelled by our over consumption of FOOD, in particular fast food. There is also other links to the rise of sugar, salts etc in prepackaged food. As we also create more gadgets the problem is exacerbated.

Exactly when people have the freedom of choice they won't always make the healthiest or best option. Usually they will pick what feels good.
