I personally don't believe in hitting one's children, but I also don't recognize the state's authority to make this decision for the parent.

I want the State to make ALL of the rules for me to follow in regards to raising my kids.

I was raise by a hard hitting grandma, who I love dearly. I was a handful and I understood why I got disciplined/punished. Compared to the kids I know who were never spanked, I turned out better than them..

Give people the information they need to make the right choice, don’t use the government to enforce it. This won’t end well.

Spanking is good... At a particular time in the child's life, for particular behaviors. I was spanked. My parents were great.

If the state imprisoned a parent for what could be their altruistically held philosophy of child discipline. Is that a violation of the NAP?
