If Facebook gives private user information to a reporter working on a political story, how can Facebook claim to remain a neutral platform, rather than a liable publisher? This story can’t run without the Facebook information – the reporter is a publisher, why not Facebook?

I’m not holding my breath. But this should be the case that takes down Facebook. Pierce the Section 230 veil and they’re done. That precedent would unleash a tsunami of liability.

Facebook isn't a neutral platform. It's time we stop pretending it ever will be. Move on.

I think it's only a matter of time before they just admit that they're not a neutral platform. The majority of their users will stay loyal, and we thinkers and freedom lovers will be silenced because we refuse to cooperate with tyranny.

true, they are a publicly traded company, which would mean all those who hold stock should be affected by these controversies. #Risk

technically, facebook is a publisher. they regulate what we all see news and on our personal feeds. they should be held liable for everything that is posted on their platform although they are trying to "moderate" what is being shown. so they're trying, but do they care?

No need to complicate it that muh. Facebook does not allow people it disagrees with to publish in the platform! It is editing content, therefor it is a publisher! But who cares! Just drop them and goto http://Bubbleflake.com  Uncensored Free Speech Social Media #1Nation
