Asian contribution to Maths halted in the 18th century. From West to East. Primarily because of the industrial revolution that made Europe contribution exponential. However Asian contribution are rising once more this century as they become more Japan-like.

the greeks used trigonometry to navigate, now try to use sin(x), cos(x), tan(x) to get to work. Furthermore they didn't have microscopes but they came up philosophically with the concept of atoms
