Not sure philosophy made Marx wise. And Marx was surely the product of a particular strain of philosophy that began at least as early as Rousseau. Philosophy may be a necessary, but not sufficient, condition for wisdom.

And nobody was a greater expert on reason than Kant, who argued that reason leads to the conclusion that happiness could not be the final end of human life.

I disagree. Money equals happiness. I’m speaking from first hand, empirical observation.

IQ is 80% genetic by the time a person is 25, so Stefan takes no credit for his intelligence, he was fortunate that he inherited those great Molyneux genes, though he can take about 20% of the credit because he worked hard & applied his gifts. He also inherited balding though!

But it's best to be inspired. Philosophy can make us wise, but it cannot inspire us. Capitalism doesn't work because it's philosophically sound, it's philosophically sound because it works. Capitalism transcends reason, as does inspiration.

Reason, virtue and happiness have little to do with each other. In psychological terms: Reason = IQ Virtue = conscientiousness Happines = extraversion + emotional stability Those characteristics are largely uncorrelated and one doesn't necessarily lead to the other.

how does one recognize the unadulterated reason?
-
Study Euclid. But even Euclid’s ancient wisdom, which has seen off many younger rivals, is not unadulterated. Axioms and unstated assumptions place a limit on logical perfect.

*perfection.
